IN MEMORIAM

It is with great sadness that Kani’s Isshin Ryu and yes me, Kani recognize the loss of Master Carl Mangione. I first met Master Mangione in 1991 or 1992. He was never my personal instructor in the physical aspects of karate but, a friend who I shared many personal thoughts with. I remember thinking the first time I saw him, “this is it”? “He’s not big enough to be so bad”. I was a little younger and didn’t know any better. Just like he was when he was younger. Just like many of you as well. Where does the time go? I knew him twenty years … it wasn’t enough!
